bouncer.

So this post is mainly for Silas, Rylin, and Zeke. Amy commented yesterday that they loved watching the video of Madelynn roll over. And I sent a video to Amy for Rylin once cause Rylin wanted to see Madelynn take a bath. Well this time I have a video of her in her bouncer. Today is the first time she's played in it. It's the first time mostly because I didn't think she could and because I couldn't figure out how to lower it. Well I figured it out and decided to give it at try. I still don't know if she's supposed to be playing in it because I have to put a blanket rolled up behind her so she doesn't flop around in the seat part, but she had alot of fun. Well at least to me it looked like she did.

hmm...I can upload videos but I still can't upload pictures.  I'm so confused.  I'm gonna try it the picasa way next.

What a week.

MORE PICTURES AND SUCH LATER CAUSE MY COMPUTER IS STUPID. So if you want to read this and then check back. Cause I have some pretty cute pictures to add to the already cute ones that are on here.

Last week was a pretty eventful week.

Monday we actually got to stay home I think. I can't remember anymore.

Tuesday morning I put Madelynn in the floor on her tummy and she rolled over and then started crying and wanted to have nothing to do with that rollin over stuff anymore. Then we went and did laundry and hung out with Amy and the kids. They sure do seem to love it when we come over.

I wish I could have gotten Rylin in on this one but she was still taking a nap.

I love this picture. He was only a month older than she is now when I found out I was pregnant. Now look at him. They're so cute!

Wednesday we went grocery shopping and I broke the car. I didn't really break it, it just showed off its brokenness while I was driving it. Last Saturday I was driving home from St.Charles on the interstate and the car started jumping and sputtering, I made it to Eureka and turned off the car and called my grandpa to have him follow me home(Casey was at a ternament). When I turned the car back on and drove home there were no problems with it. It drove completely fine. That night Casey kept trying to get it to sputter and jump again and it wouldn't. He had just gotten the oil changed that Friday so he put fuel injector cleaner(I think) and bought spark plugs so he could change those to see if maybe that's what it was. Well we had no more problems with it after that so we were like yeah, that's what it was. Until Wednesday when I was driving home from the store. As I pulled out of the Quick Trip/Dicky Bub parking lot the car jumped and sputtered and scared the crap out of me cause I was trying to go quickly infront of this other car. I wasn't cutting him off, I had enough room to go until my car decided to act stupid, then I was cutting him off. So I made it to the light and on to Hwy 50 and couldn't get my car above 20mph. So I pulled over so everyone could pass me and then I made my slow way home. When I got home I decided that I wouldn't turn the car off cause that's what fixed it last time. So I took my groceries inside and then went to see Casey at work for his break. When I got there I drove him around and showed him what it was doing, cause I don't think he really believed me the first time. Then he put it in nutral and showed a bunch of the guys in the parking lot at work and one of them told him it was a censor. Then he turned off the car for a second and turned it back on and it was fixed. So he took it to the new place on hwy 50 close to taco bell where you buy car parts and had them hook it up to their machine that tells you what's wrong with your car and the machine said it was a censor. So Casey went and looked it up on the computer and he found out that he and his dad could change it and it should only take 5min. So he went and bought the part and went over to his dad's to fix it. An hour and a half after he'd been there I called over to see what was taking so long and they were still working on it. Apparently it wasn't as easy as the guys on the internet said. From what I understand they had to take a bunch of stuff out just to change it. But anyway. Our car is fixed and it's running way better that it has before and there's no more sputtering and jumping.
Thursday, Madelynn and I went and got my dad and took him some places, and when to my grandma's. Madelynn got to hang out with her second cousin Alaina, my cousin Alicia's daughter. Alaina is jealous of Madelynn sometimes and then other times she just loves her and wants to kiss her over and over.

Alaina with her many many kisses.

Friday we hung out with daddy all morning and Madelynn started to sound like she was getting a cold. In the evening we went to the "Truth in the Outdoors" Expo. It pretty cool I guess, if you're into a bunch of stuffed dead animals and boats and guns and stuff. They did have a pampered chef and Mary Kay stand.
It was cold and windy. This is Madelynn all bundled in her carseat/stroller

She's such a happy baby.

Saturday we went and hung out with Rylin and Zeke, so Amy could take Silas to see the strong man thing at the Expo. Rylin showed Madelynn how you use the potty. It was cute. And they had Casey read them about 5 or 6 books. Which is alot for him. Then we went over to Casey's dad's house. Madelynn was such a happy little baby there. She smiled and talked to everyone.

Sunday we went to church. When we came home we played with daddy in the floor and Madelynn rolled over again. And again and again. She seems to like it now. She doesn't cry or anything. I got a video of it even. It's kinda funny when she finaly makes it over cause she just sprals out and stays there.

After that we invited Schram and Heather over for some guitar hero and bbq. We don't get to hang out with them as much as we used to because we have a baby. We had fun and Heather played with Madelynn which was cool. Madelynn really likes her.

Well that was our week. It was busy but alot of fun. Today starts another week and we're already busy. Today I'm gonna call Madelynn's doctor cause my grandma told me I should because the snot in her nose is yellow and not clear. I know that sounds gross but I've figured out when you have a baby you start talking about gross stuff. Me and Amy carried on a conversation the other day about poop. Who does that? Unless you're a parent. Then if the doctor says she's ok and I don't have to bring her in or anything we're going to go shopping with my dad. He wants to buy Madelynn some clothes. He's crazy about her. It's really funny.

Well I'm gonna go see if my baby is up yet. It doesn't sound like it, but you never know. She likes to just lay there and stare at her mobile sometimes when she wakes up and doen't make a sound.

a thought.

So I was driving and thinking the other day, and I'm really glad that the Lord has saved me. I'm am the worst when it comes to coveting things and I'd for sure be goin to Hell. I always wish that I could have something that someone else has. Like I'll look at someones house and be like, I wish I had that house, or I'll see someones financial situation and wish we had as much money as they did. But I know the things that I have are that way because that's how God wants it to be for us right now. He's blessed me with so much that alot of people in the world don't have and yet I just want and want and want. I know that I should stop living with the thought worldly standards of you should have this and do that. It's just so hard when that is all that has been forced into your head since you were a child. But I'm not going to blame my coveting problem on my parents because I have come to the Lord and I know what's right and wrong now. I'm just glad that I get to bring up Madelynn in a Christian home where hopefully the world won't get to her to much and she will live happy with what she has and not always wanting something more.

Well I was just thinking about that. My baby is starting to wake up now so I better get off of here.

Sleep!

I'm so excited! I don't know what happened but these past 3 days Madelynn has been sleeping ALL night. I know I shouldn't get to excited cause that happens sometimes and then babies go back to their old sleeping habits. But I have a feeling this time it's going to be a perminent changes. I went to get her this morning cause I had to take the car from Casey, to go hang out with my super cool sister-in-law and her kids, and this is what I found;

She's sucking her thumb to put herself back to sleep. It's super cute! Casey's not to excited about the sucking her thumb part because he doesn't want it to ruin her teeth(when she gets them). I'm alittle worried about that too. When she goes to sleep she has a pacifier but when that falls out she goes to her thumb. I'm hoping that when she gets big enough she can just put the pacifier back in her mouth when she needs it instead of resorting to her thumb, but we'll see.

In other news... My sister-in-law and her husband are going to have another girl! Most likely. The ultrasound tech was 80% sure but the little girl had her legs crossed. I'm excited because my niece Rylin really wants a sister. I know how hard it is growing up without one so I'm hoping for her that they find out for sure that the baby is a girl. Also I'm excited cause Madelynn will have another girl cousin to play with. I always loved playing with my cousins when I was a kid. And when you hit that stage where all you want to play is house, and play with dolls it's way more fun to have a bunch of girls to play with.

We're going down to Kentucky in a few weeks for Easter. I'm excited to get to see family. Casey's grandma is excited to because she hasn't gotten to see her great granddaughter yet. I don't know how long we're gonna stay. That all depends on how much time they're gonna give Casey for Easter. They may give him the whole week or they may only give him the weekend. But if they give him the whole week I don't know if we're gonna want to be down there the whole time because I don't know how Madelynn will react to not being home for that long so we'll see. Also befor we go I have to try to find a play pen so that she has somewhere to sleep because I don't really want her sleeping on just the floor and I'm definatly not having her sleep with us because then I wouldn't get any sleep, and I'm afraid she'd get used to that and be completely thrown off when we get back home.

Well I'm going to go get ready to hang out with the coolest people I know. It's funny how cool and fun changes from a bunch of kids your age hangin out and goin to the movies and just drivin around and stuff to getting to hang out with your daughter, sister-in-law, niece, and nephews. My how my life has changed in just a few years....but I like it.

A few pictures.
Madelynn decided to spit her pacifier out at nap time.

Hangin out with her daddy after a bath.

Doctor's visit and shots.

I really hate shots. They stress me out and they make her sad. I guess it's not as bad as it could be cause she doesn't have any allergic reaction to them but it still sucks. She pretty much slept all day yesterday after them and for the little bit of time she was awake she was fussy and threw up(due to the oral stuff they gave her). I didn't give her tylenol because the fussiness wasn't that bad. But it still made me sad she didn't feel good. She's much better and back to her happy self today.

She now weights 14lbs 7oz, is 24.6 inches long, and her head is 16.4 inches around. I think the head circumferince is crazy cause it's only like 8 inches smaller than her length. That has to feel weird having a head almost as big around as your body is long. She has a big head but it's propotionate to her body. Imagine if you're one of those babies that looks like they have a head that's to big for their body.

Dr. Matt said she's healthy and normal. That's all I could ever ask for. She's such a happy baby. I'm so glad God has blessed me in that way. The only time she cries or fusses is when she's tired, hungry, bored, or gets shots. And usually I can tell before she gets tired or hungry enough to fuss.

Well that's pretty much all. I don't have any pictures for this week because I left my camera at Casey's mom's house. I'm really bummed about that.

The result of a camera happy day.

That is the first smile I've gotten on camera. I love it when she smiles. I think it's the cutest thing ever.

She sits in her Bumbo now. This thing is awesome. She loves sitting up and sometimes I need to do other things so I can sit her in this next to me while I do some stuff. It's really handy. I don't wanna leave her alone in it yet cause she's still kinda floppy.

Madelynn was playing with toys today. This is a first. Normally when I try to get her to hold onto a toy and shake it she just lets go. But today she was holding on and trying to eat it.

My baby loves to stick her tounge out. It's like a game for her. She'll stick her tounge out at you then you stick your tounge out back and you get a big smile.

Madelynn was talkin to me while I was trying to get her to smile for the camera. These are 2 really cute faces that I get while attempting to get her to smile. I have about a billion other pictures from trying but these two I like the best.

Isn't she precious? I just love this picture. Kinda looks like she was posing for it.

I don't think either one of them likes the flash much on the camera. You can kinda tell from their expressions.

I definatly went picture crazy today. About once a week it seems like I just take pictures of Madelynn all day long. And today was that day. But I got alot of super cute pictures out of it. The last one is from Sunday when she was wearing her new dress. Well I don't have much to say. Pretty much just wanted to show off my baby again. She has a Doctor's appointment on Monday. I'm excited cause I get to find out how much she's actually growing but not so excited cause there's more shots. ew!
