gettin bigger.

So in this past week Madelynn has been pushing herself up on her arms a whole lot more. This morning she just stayed up on her arms looking around. It gave me time to take pictures. Also yesterday Casey and I caught her trying to roll over. She hasn't quite got it yet but she's getting there. I'm pretty sure by the end of next week she may be able to roll over. I'm so excited!! She's also smiling but I can't seem to get a picture of it. She never wants to smile when I have the camera. Well that's all I have to say. I pretty much just wanted a reason to post pictures of my beautiful baby.

She's gettin so good at this.

When she pushes up on her arms she doesn't like to leave her legs down.

This time she tried to lift everything but her belly off the ground.

I took this the other day when I was trying to get her to smile. Isn't she so cute?

I was trying to catch her smiling while we were at the Zoo. She didn't open her eyes much cause she's not used to sunlight.

Doctor's Appointment.

Today was Madelynn's 1 month check-up. I was absolutely terrified of the doctor's today because she was getting a shot. I hate shots myself and I think they hurt so I know it has to hurt her. Well it didn't go as bad as I thought. They didn't have me hold her while they gave it to her. They layed her on the table. The nurse gave her the shot and she shrieked and then started crying but as soon as I got to pick her up she calmed down and only cried alittle bit then stopped. Then I got to feed her before we left and by the time we got to the car she was a happy baby again. She was pretty amazing about the whole thing. I felt sick when they gave her the shot. I didn't cry though and I was pretty sure I was going to.
The rest of the doctor's visit went really well. She's 12lbs 15oz, 22.6ins., and her head is 15.7ins. around. She's down to the 80th percentile for her height instead of 93rd and the 89th for her head instead of 96th. But she's still up in the 98th for weight. I found out that her fussing and not wanting to go to sleep between 8 and 11 is completely normal. It's weird how much relief you feel over something like that when you find out that you're not the only person that goes through that and that it's actually worse for some people. I feel bad for feeling good about other people's misfortune. I'm supposed to start giving Madelynn vitamin D because we're inside all the time because of the weather. But overall Dr. Matt said that she's a healthy girl. Thank God for that.

Also thank God for the beautiful weather that we're having!!! These warm days we've been having seem like the biggest blessing now that I'm a stay at home mom. It for sure has to be a bigger blessing for the mom's that have kids that run around. We're going to the Zoo tomorrow with Amy and the kids. I'm super excited! I love the Zoo and I love warm weather and the outside!! Madelynn won't remember her first Zoo trip but I'm gonna take lots of pictures so she'll get to see them one day. My dad thought it was funny that I was so excited about taking her to the Zoo cause she's just gonna lay there pretty much the whole time. But I think it'll be fun.

Well I've got to get pick-up Casey from work. Just thought I'd take a minute to tell everyone how my baby is.

you have to see this.

This morning I put Madelynn in her swing cause she wouldn't go back to sleep like she was supposed to. I put the mobile down and as soon as I did she opened her mouth and started yelling at the animals. It was super cute. I have a video of it for you all to watch. It's alittle dark cause I didn't have all the lights on.

some thoughts and super cute pictures!

So at church on Sunday the church wasn't as empty as I expected it to be but there were some people missing that it was sad to see go. Then I was thinking about it and there aren't any babies there that are gonna be in Madelynn's age group anymore and it made me sad for her that she isn't gonna have any church friends her age to grow up with. It's weird cause I was just talking to my dad a few weeks ago about how I'm thinking about home schooling her. He asked me how was she going to get to socialize and I told him that there was a bunch of babies at church that were going to be in her age group and I could sign her up for classes at the Y and stuff. It's just sad to see so many people go.

In other news. Madelynn is growing so much. I'm pretty sure she's almost to long for her 0-3 month clothes. There's this one dress she has that's a 0-3 month dress and I have to put pants on her with it cause it's more like a shirt. She's almost to long for all of her 0-3 sleep and play outfits. There's one that she is to long for. My grandpa told me to just cut the feet out and put socks on her. He cracks me up. She has a doctor's appointment next week. I'm excited to see how much she's grown, not to excited about the shot though.

Well I'm gonna go now. I will leave you with some pictures to look at.

She likes the toys that dangle abover her. Her favorite I think is the Tucan that's on the other side. She stares at it most often, but today I caught her looking at the elephant.

She's like her daddy. She likes to sleep as stretched out as she can get.

This is how she fell asleep in her swing the other day. It looks like she's in deep thought.
